Hello!

Thank you for enquiring about ENGLISH HOLIDAY SCHOOL. I hope that the information about the summer English language courses for children from abroad is of interest. Let me introduce myself.

My name is Olga Barochovsky and I have lived in London most of my life and in Kingston Upon Thames, south west London, for nearly 20 years. I am married and have an almost grown-up (!) daughter.

After taking a university degree in biochemistry I followed an academic career for 12 years, both in research and teaching at university. During this period I made many international friends. When my daughter was born, I decided to bring her up. At the same time, some of my international friends started to send me their children to learn English. By a stroke of luck, I found myself doing what I loved most - being with children. What started as a hobby has gradually developed into a summer school!

I have long experience in looking after children who visit this country. The summer language courses are very popular with students under 15 who want to experience their first solo stay abroad. I work with highly qualified and dedicated teachers, who are well liked by our young students. The children stay with local families whom I have known for many years and who offer a high standard of care and accommodation. In addition to tuition in English, we also organize (and take part in) all the outings and sports activities for the children. It is good to get to know my students and their families well and we always try to do everything we can to make the children's stay in the UK happy and secure. It isn't easy to leave our children in care of others and as a mother I know the importance of our children's happiness and safety. I always treat our students as I would like my child to be treated when she is abroad and I am sure that you feel the the same. I look forward to seeing your children at EHS.
